Every year we provide the sailing training for the Coastal Detachment of Police Haaglanden. In a short period and ‘under pressure’, these gentlemen and ladies of the Haaglanden Police have to comply with the requirements for this sailing course.
The sailing training is given on board their own RIB and in their own environment. The Haaglanden police use a Ribcraft 4.7 with a standard 40 hp outboard.
In the course of the training to the police, a few basic principles and boat purchases come back which also occur in our ” standard ” sailing course. The majority of this sailing training is not standardized. Think of maneuvering in the surf, picking up one or more drowning people at sea and in the surf.
Teamwork is of great importance on board, as is communication.
The bar is high during this sailing course and requires constant focus.
Our motto is: If you can sail on the North Sea, you can sail anywhere.
(Note: with the necessary experience.)
